Dahlene Miller-Almodovar

Attorney

A native of South Florida, Dahlene Miller-Almodovar gained her competitive edge beneath the surface as a skilled free diver and lobster hunter. For Dahlene, the art of legal advocacy draws from lessons learned in the depths of the ocean. As a lobster diver, she’s spent hours below the surface where visibility is limited, movement is deliberate, and success depends on patience, precision, and quick decision-making. By law, lobsters must be caught by hand, requiring skill over shortcuts. It’s a quiet, focused pursuit, and one that mirrors how Dahlene approaches the law: with calm under pressure, sharp awareness of her surroundings, and a deep understanding of when to wait — and when to strike. Just as she navigates the ocean floor with intention, Dahlene dives into legal challenges with the same clarity and determination, emerging with results that matter.
Since earning her law degree from the University of Miami in 2018, Dahlene has dedicated her career to First-Party Property Insurance Law. What began as a clerkship quickly evolved into a full-time mission: to stand up for Florida homeowners and business owners against powerful insurance companies. Her passion was solidified in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, when she saw firsthand how devastating losses were compounded by denied or delayed claims. That experience became a turning point—driving her to make insurance litigation her life’s work.
Over the years, Dahlene has successfully represented thousands of Floridians—from the Keys to the Panhandle—in claims involving hurricane damage, windstorms, fires, plumbing leaks, sinkholes, and more. Her clients include homeowners, commercial property owners, businesses, and condo associations. With millions recovered in settlements and verdicts, Dahlene is known for her tenacity, legal skill, and results-driven approach.
While at the University of Miami School of Law, Dahlene distinguished herself as a student leader. She served as president of the Maritime Law Society and competed in the prestigious John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition. She also worked in the Children and Youth Law Clinic, where she advocated for vulnerable youth in areas ranging from healthcare access to immigration.
Clients describe Dahlene as thorough, strategic, and deeply committed. She understands that insurance claims aren’t just about property—they’re about people’s lives, businesses, and sense of security. That’s why she takes the time to understand each client’s story, building a personalized strategy with compassion and clarity.
Currently serving of counsel to Dugas and Circelli, Dahlene works closely with founding attorney Preston Dugas to deliver top-tier representation across Florida. She is licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
When you hire Dahlene Miller-Almodovar, you get more than an attorney—you gain a determined advocate who won’t back down, and who will fight for what you’re rightfully owed.
