Preston’s legal career has been diverse to say the least but has primarily focused on cases revolving around insurance litigation (wind and/or hail storms), underpayment of oil and gas royalties, faulty medical products, and property tax litigation. During this time period, he has represented a wide array of clients, from those affected by hail storms, commercial property owners seeking to reduce their ad valorem tax liability, patients who received faulty hip implants, to thousands of royalty owners seeking recovery of underpaid oil and gas royalties. Preston has helped his clients recover over 50 million dollars.

Preston has worked in a small firm setting since becoming a lawyer in November of 2006, which has allowed him the opportunity to provide true personalized services and numerous trial court experiences. He also understands the importance of staying in contact with his clients to ensure the highest quality of service and works tirelessly to achieve his clients’ goals.

Since 2010, Preston has been recognized as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth, Texas magazine. He was also selected as a 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters as published in Super Lawyers magazine. In December of 2015, Preston was chosen as a Top 40 under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers Association.

Preston was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana but has lived in Fort Worth, Texas since graduating law school. As a committed member of and contributor to the DFW community, Preston has served as an At-Large Member of the St. Mary’s Law Alumni Chapter in Dallas and has volunteered for Catholic Charities Outreach Program. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association and has volunteered for the Tarrant County Back to School Roundup program.

Preston enjoys spending the weekends with his wife and participating in his son’s baseball and soccer activities.
